Job Description
Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager the successful electrician will take on the role of supporting the electrical department with their varied projects. Due to the nature of our clients varied projects, works can be nationwide and occasionally require flexible working hours.
Project sizes will vary from large projects working within a team or smaller projects with pairs or solo working. These projects will include retail, social housing, schools, colleges, universities, prisons, police stations, care homes, undertaking breakdowns and installation works. Developing positive relationships with your colleagues, clients and all other site operatives are of paramount importance and therefore excellent communication skills are key.
An experienced, reliable, team player will be a welcome addition to our clients team.
Duties & Responsibilities
All aspects associated with a qualified NVQ Level 3 electrician with proven experience of working within a similar environment.
Professional development and occasional supervising of site personnel including trainees & apprentices.
Undertaking required training and information gathering to support any updates or changes to regulations.
Knowledge/understanding of the contract design and construction drawings.
Enforcing and monitoring H&S practices on site.
Attendance of regular site meetings.
To identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that we provide.
Ensure that exceptional levels of customer care are provided at all times.
Daily use of our clients computer systems and other software packages.
Our client undertakes contracts and projects for varied companies that require their employees to undertake clearances along with an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service clearance.

This is a full time position and hours of work will be 39 hours per week: 07:45hrs to 16:30hrs Monday – Thursday 07:45hrs to 15:30hrs Friday
These hours are on site start and finish times.
Qualifications & Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2 (or equivalent)
18th Edition Qualification (including 2nd amendment)
Experience of working within a similar environment – commercial, industrial and domestic experience
Competent in the use of a range of IT packages
Proficient in Health & Safety legislation and compliance
Self-motivated and proactive
Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team
You must hold a full current UK driving licence and have had 6 months driving experience since passing your test and live within an hour of the PE1 area
Willing to travel on a daily basis as required for the needs of the business
Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, MOJ CTC clearance, MOD vetting clearance and enhanced police clearance.
